Things We Left Behind (Knockemout Book 3), by Colleen Hoover (2023)

I'm enthralled by the sizzling yet doomed relationship between Lucian Rollins and Sloane Walton. They make an implausible pair – the cynical, isolated millionaire and the righteous librarian seeking justice – yet the chemistry between them leaps off the page.

We first meet Lucian as he feverishly builds his empire, determined to outrun the shadows of his family's tainted name. He meets his match in Sloane, who crashes into his life searching for answers about her own father. They share a dark secret from years before that complicates everything.

Though their blistering attraction is undeniable after a steamy one-night stand, their clashing outlooks doom any chance for happiness. Lucian's refusal to marry and have children cuts Sloane deeply. His belief that he must not “break” her like so many of the damaged men in his past only pushes her farther away when he abandons her. My heart ached for Sloane as she swears him off for good.

Yet when she falls prey to new threats, I wondered if Lucian would come charging back to her rescue. Would seeing Sloane imperiled allow him to overcome the demons of his past? Would she ever trust him with her heart again if he returned?

Finding Perfect tells the story of Colleen Hoover's Six and Daniel. The story is from the standpoint of Daniel, and the readers will finally get a conclusion we were looking for. While reading the short story, my heart must have melted somewhere.

An incredibly emotional and beautiful story with a HEA ending.

But when one last parent of one last victim unexpectedly dies, Beyah finds herself stuck in limbo between her past and future and needs someone trustworthy to lean on before she loses everything.

This book takes you on an emotional roller coaster. You'll be head over heels for these two characters and every word of this story. The love these two share is pure and true – strong enough to carry them through whatever life hurls at them.

The way this story unfolds, you feel like you've known the characters all along and that they're really people you can relate to – they seem so relatable even in the most unbelievable situations.

Colleen has written something incredible here. I felt like I was a part of it all and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a moving read.

Morgan Grant wished she could be more like her 16-year-old daughter Clara, just as Clara wished she could be more like her predictably boring mother. Mother and daughter knew they wouldn't change each other's minds, so they made a pact: they'd show each other how hard learning to let go really is.

While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she would have expected, and Clara turns to the one boy she can't see. Little by little, their unwelcome feelings grow stronger and stronger, making it difficult for mother and daughter to ever reunite again.

If you would like to pick only one book from this list, I would recommend this Colleen Hoover book.

All Your Perfects, by Colleen Hoover (2018)

This is definitely the most heart wrecking story among Colleen hoover books.

The story takes place in two time planes. In the past, we can see how Quinn and Graham find each other by chance or rather by fate. As from the first moment they fit into each other's lives like two pieces of a puzzle, and as a love stronger than anything unfolds between them.

This book had so much to say, and Colleen Hoover's talent for conveying the million emotions that the story contained was incredible.
