The younger generation here (in our book club) noted us, that they usually read books that receive TV Shows on Netflix. Why not to collect some of the biggest shows connected with their book of origin.

In the following list we collected some of the books in different genres that will received a series or a stand alone movie on Netflix.

Shadow and Bone, by Leigh Bardugo

Shadow and Bone series is basedon Leigh Bardugo's trilogy, and meant to be the “Game of Thrones” of Netflix.

The book trilogy is definitely a huge success among young adult fantasy readers. Grishaverse's world is unique and full of adventures and magic.

The Stranger, by Harlan Coben

Harlan Coben wrote the novel in 2015, which received a controversial welcome from the readers. One thing is sure, the book has a great and complex story which is worth putting on the screen.

An 8 part psychological thriller with Richard Armitage.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before, by Jenny Han

The book was written in 2014 and it is currently a trilogy for young adults, who like dating and the entertaining life of teenagers.

The first movie of the series was released in 2018 which is an teen (young adult) rom-com with Noah Centineo and Lana Condor. The romance is charming between the couple, who were never really meant to be together.

All the Bright Places, by Jennifer Niven

Jennifer wrote her powerful and shocking book in 2015, which was a big success among readers.

Elle Fanning will act the main character of the book, where two teens wish to escape from small-town Indiana.

Altered Carbon, by Richard Morgan

The book was published in 2003.

Altered Carbon season two is a long awaited sequel of one of the best sci-fi series of the 2010s. In the new season we will meet with the actor Anthony Mackie (Falcon in the movie Captain America) in the dystopian world of the future.

While the mini-series and the novel's plot isn't matching perfectly we think it is well worth the time to enjoy both of them. We find a lot of differences, which makes the whole story more diverse.

The Duke and I, by Julia Quinn

Netflix's Bridgerton is a historical regency romance story based on Julia Quinn's books. This is a charming and engaging story about Simon Bassett and Daphne Bridgerton whose fake relationship slowly turns into a real one, during the first book.

Conclusion

These are some of the best Netflix Series based on books. Hence they are in different genres, they are all great stories. Feel free to start to read (or watch) your favorite.
