Love meets spirits, demons, and monsters in this adaptation of the classic Hmong folklore, Xai and Sia. Will Sia be able to save her husband from death?

Xai and Sia are newlyweds who live on the edge of a village just beyond a haunted forest. When Xai is taken by an unknown sickness, Sia makes plans to see him again on the day of his burial.

Their culture and lifestyle are surrounded with lore and superstitions, so when Sia sees an opportunity to rescue her departed husband from infinite death, she follows him into the netherworld in an attempt to bring him back to the world of the living.

Sia quickly learns that there's more truth to the stories she grew up with as she embarks on more than one journey to save the man she married.
