Is The Celestine Prophecy fiction or nonfiction?

This is one of our favorite question and we had a lot of discussions in this respect within our group.

We have to say, part of the insights are non-fiction, but the story is completely a fiction.

The Insights

Meaningful coincidences – This works in real life. If we are in harmony with ourself you will find these coincidences.

Historical perspective – The end of the insight is more like fiction. We agree that humanity developed a lot in terms of consciousness in Renaissance, Reformation, and even in our today's society, but we are not even close to a “conscious” society.

Subtle energy – There should be some kind of energy of the mind, but we don't have any knowledge how it works. Seeing aura of the living things has no proof since we don't know anything about this energy.

Competition for energy (and for attention) – This is the strongest and most valid insight of the book. People are energy vampires in many cases, we rarely respect each other with our attention, but this behaviour isn't appropriate.

Energy abundance – Competition for energy is unnecessary because subtle energy available. We can connect to the energy source when we experience beauty and we accept everything as it is. This is an interesting insight, and even we don't much about the “source” energy it may exists.

Getting clear – “Control dramas” are tricky and they really exists, this human behaviours are part of our human nature and seems completely normal at first glance, but we don't know it is a bad practice. Getting clear means we pay attention to our actions and we try to alter our basic behaviour in order to avoid stealing energy from others.

Using intuition – Intuition works the hard part is to get into the right condition of mind and body to call them. If you know Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's Flow it is the right set of mind when we could use intuitions.

Relating to others and Conscious evolution – These are two insights which aren't stand alone but the consequence of the above insights.
