Noah felt an outpouring of love and compassion for Kira, a connection that seemed to radiate like an unending river of light. As they both stood by her mother's still form, waiting for it to be taken away, Noah cradled the five-year-old in his arms. The proximity between Noah and Ren's lifeless body created an unexpected contact, opening the channel for the healing to transfer. Noah's heart flooded with love as he scooped up Kira. The flood of love in Noah’s body transmitted into Ren's body and flooded it with life. Her heartbeat jolted back to life stronger than ever.
Feeling a surge of warmth, Noah was about to lead Kira toward the door, intending to find her a happier place to stay. However, just as he moved to touch the doorknob, a voice called out, “Kira?”
They both turned, incredulous, to see Ren wide awake and getting ready to get out of bed. It was as if a miracle had unfolded before their eyes. Noah stood there, awestruck, realizing that something profound was happening. He recalled the intense feeling of warmth in his body a few seconds ago, and realized what had happened–he had healed Ren with the love in his heart when he picked up Kira. Ren’s proximity was close enough for his healing touch to resuscitate her. He was learning more about his abilities every day.
Kira's eyes widened with disbelief and then transformed into pure joy as she heard her mother's voice. Without a moment's hesitation, she ran towards Ren, her small feet carrying her with a mixture of excitement and relief. Her face lit up with a radiant smile as she approached her mother, and with a burst of happiness, she leaped into Ren's open arms.
“Mama! You're awake!” Kira exclaimed, her words bubbling with the unfiltered joy of a child who had just discovered an unexpected gift. She wrapped her little arms tightly around Ren, burying her face in her mother's embrace.
Ren, equally overjoyed, laughed and hugged Kira back. “Sweetheart, I didn't mean to sleep for so long. I'm here now, and I'll be with you. I love you,” Ren reassured her daughter, brushing away the strands of hair that had tumbled onto Kira's face during her energetic leap.
Kira, still clinging to her mother, looked up with wide-eyed innocence and asked, “Why did you leave me to sleep for so long, Mama? I missed you.”
Ren's eyes softened with love and understanding. “Oh, my darling, Mama was just taking a little rest. But I'm here now, and I promise I won't go anywhere without you. We'll always be together.”
Noah, witnessing this heartwarming reunion, felt a profound sense of fulfillment. The room, once filled with the weight of loss, now echoed with the laughter and warmth of a reunited family. It was a moment of inexplicable beauty, a reminder of the interconnected threads of love that wove through the fabric of human experiences.
Noah was beginning to understand a new facet of his gift, recalling the wise words of Rosemary: “Let your love pour into your work, with everyone you touch. Let it flow through your body and pass through your hands.” In that moment, he comprehended a part of his gift he had never fully grasped before.
To truly heal, he needed to immerse himself in the positive flow of emotions. There could be no resistance, no anxiety or frustration. His gift didn't come from the mechanical actions of his fingers; it emanated from his heart. It was an energy that needed to be channeled with pure intent and unconditional love.
