Why Are So Many Release Date Changes Among Game Titles?

There are several reasons for the recent spate of release date changes among upcoming game titles. One reason is challenges of video game development. Most modern games are developed for multiple platforms and because of unwanted bugs and challenges, there are bound to be delays as developers struggle to meet deadlines. Another reason is the growing complexity of games. As games become more ambitious, they take longer to develop and are more likely to experience setbacks.

The current generation of consoles has also contributed to the problem. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S or X are much more powerful than their predecessors, which makes optimizing for older platforms a time-consuming task. As a result, we've seen a number of high-profile games received lower ratings because of bad game experience in case of older consoles.
